Everytime I install texlive-lang-chinese on my debian/ubuntu machine, magic happens: system Chinese font is changed, thus then the pages in browser look totally different. This is an unpleasant experience, unfortunately.

Frustratingly, it is not easy to figure out how Debian's fonts configuration works! After some try-and-fails, I finally find an easy trick: install the preferred font and it will become the default.

So the following command brings my Chinese fonts back

> sudo apt install fonts-wqy-microhei
